Follow me: Vina del Mar, Chile

Hello ladies! Happy Thursday! Hope you all are doing great.. a few weeks ago I decided I wanted to take a trip and get away from the cold, so I booked a flight and packed my bags, so here I am in beautiful Vina del Mar, Chile. I absolutely love it here. The beaches, the food, the people, everything.
The weather has been great! It's not my first time here so I know my way around the city, and know the best little restaurants hidden around town. Here's a few pictures of my trip so far.

Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer: Review

Hello ladies!...Hope everyone is having an amazing New Years thus far.. As always I have been all over the place. (surprised?.. ya neither am I, LOL)

Today I'd like to talk to you ladies about make-up. I have always been a fan of Clinique. I personally have sensitive skin to certain products so I'm always a bit hesitate on what I apply on my face. I've heard a lot about the new Clinique Beyond Perfecting Foundation and Concealer. At first I was a bit spectacle about this product. Why, may you ask? Well first thing- foundation and concealer in one? Does it actually work?

I went into my local Sephora and got colour matched by the lady there, as she applied the product onto the side of my face I quickly noticed the difference from one side to the other... Wow! I was seriously surprised. I decided to purchase it and try it out myself, adding my usual face products, lotion, primer, blush etc. Wow bigggg difference. It's full coverage so all those little imperfections we all have will be covered with this foundation. As I have mentioned in my past posts, I'm not the type of girl that likes to re-apply her makeup throughout the day, so I was quite impressed with it lasting all day. The best part is, is that it comes in so many shades, which is awesome. I, myself appreciate brands that keep in mind that there are so many women with different and beautiful skin tones.
The consistency of this makeup isn't heavy, I didn't feel like my face had much on it, as I personally found it very light. I also never experienced any discomfort of any sort on my skin. The girl at Sephora applied the foundation with a make-up brush, I personally preferred using my fingers to apply it (personal preference), you can also use a beauty blender, or a brush like she did. Overall an amazing product that I highly recommend you guys try.

I am number 2 in shade " Alabaster".

If you guys are looking for something long lasting and flawless, check this baby out!

Perfumes! Perfumes! Perfumes!

Okay guys...who here doesn't love to smell good?.... I know I do! There's nothing more sexy than leaving your fragrance trace behind as you walk, and when you get a compliment.. BONUS!
There are hundreds of fragrances out there to choose from- yes it can be a little overwhelming, but it's also really exciting. In my opinion, a fragrance choice is like a statement. It's a scent that, in a way you make your own- it's a signature scent. I used to wear Lolita Lempicka for years for example, now when old friends smell it at a local Boutique or on another person they usually tell me about it and how they thought of me, so that's always nice.
When I am asked about perfumes, I like to say that for me its like the cherry on top on the sundae. Sounds a little cliche but, it is true. It's the perfect finishing touch to getting ready in the morning. I have picked out a few of my latest favourite including my all time favourite below, which I'm sure it won't disappoint you ladies.

Fall is HERE!!.. I can not be more thrilled!.. Am I the only one that's excited here people!?.. As you guys know, fall is one of favourite season and I am always looking forward to it. Not only do I love how nature takes it's toll and how the leaves changes their colours but hello! The fashion is to die for! I'm obsessed with everything fall. I wanted to share with you guys some of the things I have recently purchased and have been loving.

I went to the mall on the weekend and stopped by Forever21- I always say- "I'm just gonna look, I won't buy anything" .. who am I kidding right?! As I walked by some adorable pieces; which Forever21 is known for carrying the cutest things ever (telling myself- no Stef.. back away) I came across these jeans and I couldn't put it down.. let's just say I walked out with 4 pairs. The sales lady approached me and said Hi can I help you? yes please, size 28 in every colour please ( ahahahaha) she just laughed and totally got me. For those out there that don't know I'm a 5'9 and have hispanic roots which means I got my curves and I love them..

I have always wanted a YSL lipstick but thought to myself, these colour are all so beautiful and let's be honest- they are quite pricey so I didn't want to buy a colour that I wasn't going to wear as often. I came across this one and ending up loving it. Plus they all smell so yummy!

H & M has always had beautiful statement jewelry pieces and these 2 caught my eye.

If you're not new to my blog then you all know that I LOVE ZARA. I have always been such a fan and I always seem to walk out with something LOL ( it's a must) I'm pretty sure you ladies can all relate. While they were having a sale I came across this suede beige trench jacket. I was loooking for my size like crazy- seriously people I was on a mission... I saw a medium at the very back of the rack and was totally happy! I looked like a little kid- no joke. to make things even better it was on sale from $139.99 and walked out paying 49.99! Major score!

I've been looking for boot without a heel for awhile and came across these.. IN LOVE and super comfy.

Stuffed Beef Tortellini's

Hello friends! Hope everyone is doing well! On today's post I wanted to share a simple and easy recipe that I did last week for dinner. I was running a little late and didn't want to eat out so I decided to make an easy dish you all can enjoy as well. I love being in the kitchen but when I can put together a dish in less than 30minutes- I'm all for it.

I have always been a big pasta fan and this dish makes me want to get in the kitchen and wipe it up right now LOL. All you need is a can of diced tomatoes, oregano, diced garlic, a few basil leaves and a bag of tortellinis- these are usually sold at your local grocery store and come in various flavours.

Bring water to a boil on a medium pot and add your tortellinis (leave in for 6-8 minutes or as recommended on package). While that is cooking in a medium sauce pan add a tablespoon of olive oil, and add a can of diced tomatoes. Finely dice up your garlic, basil leaves and add into mixture along with a pinch of salt and oregano. Let it simmer on medium heat. Once the tortellinis are done, set aside less than a 3/4 of cup of pasta water, and drain the rest. Add tortellinis into sauce pan and mix together, adding the pasta water and let it simmer for 2 minutes. Let it sit for a couple more minutes with your heat off. Once that is done plate your pasta and add your favourite type of shredded cheese on top ( mines mozzarella).

Done! See! how easy was that?!

Hope you guys enjoy !

Zucchini and Cheese!

Hey guys! Sorry I have been so M.I.A, but I was in the process of moving and now that I'm all settled in I can finally get back to normal! I've been wanting to sit down and upload a post but with everything going on I just couldn't seem to find the time.... but now I'm back!
I thought I would share one of my favourite recipes. It's very simple and easy, and only involves a few ingredients that you guys probably already have in your fridge. Whenever I prepare this for my family I like to accompany it with some rice or grilled potatoes and a light salad.

Ingredients:

-3 large zucchinis
-half a cup of shredded mozarella cheese
-1 large onion
-pinch of salt, pepper, and paprika
-2 eggs

First, cut a little bit of the bottom and top off the zucchini- Don't peel them! Put in a large pot of water and boil for 30 minutes (if you poke the zucchini with a knife easily then they are ready).
Once ready remove from heat and drain the water out. Leave aside to cool. While those cool down, finely dice up an onion and sauté in a medium pot with a splash of oil, on low heat. Cut zucchini's in half and with a teaspoon carefully remove the inside and place in a bowl leaving a thick part of the skin of the zucchini as a 'base' .When the onions are transparent you are going to add what you removed from the zucchini along with salt, paprika and a pinch of pepper and stir altogether. Let it cook for about 10 minutes and then add half a cup of shredded cheese and 2 eggs. Mix together.
In a large non stick cookie tray, aline your zucchini "base" in a row; carefully add your mixture into each and everyone and add a small piece of cheese and the top. Place in oven and set to broil for 6 minutes. Your all done!

Enjoy!!

Mother's Days Gift Ideas....

Mother's day is just around the corner and I can't hardly wait! There is something so special about this day- of course it shouldn't be the only day that we should take the chance to show our moms how much we love them and truly appreciate them, but it's another excuse to go all out!

My mother is a strong and very hard working women. She has sacrificed a lot for our family and is truly one of the most remarkable people that I have had the pleasure of having in my life.
I have always enjoyed spoiling my mother and Mother's day just makes it more fun.
If gifts have you in a bit of a budget, don't stress! There are tons of other things you can do for your mom on this day to show her you care, it's the thought that counts. Treat your mom to a home cook meal, have a little spa session at home with her or just go out with her and spend quality time together. I hope these ideas with help make the special women in your life have an amazing day.
