Mini Sephora Haul!

Hi! Hope everyone finds themselves doing great. I know that it's been a hard few months but hopefully you are all managing with our new "normal". I can speak for myself when I say that things have been hard adjusting to, but also I've been doing my best to keep myself busy and motivated. Like I have mentioned in my past post, I have been doing a lot of DIY projects at home that have kept me occupied. My boyfriend and I recently re-designed our closet which I will share in the next post.
Since we only go out to grab the necessary groceries and that's it, I find myself shopping online way more than I used to. I recently purchased a few things from Sephora that I needed to restock on and a few new things that I've been loving and wanted to share with you guys.

I heard about these glow peel pads from a Youtuber- they are amazing!

I've always been a huge fan of Ole Henriksen. If your in the market for a new skin care- this whole brand is fantastic!

This palette looked so fun and cute!

Love the packaging! And the colours are so pretty.

I've had my eye on this for awhile and so far I've been loving. Leaves my lips smooth and soft. Would of loved for it to have a little bit of flavour but thats ok, highly recommend.

Everything I get from The Ordinary- I truly love! Such amazing products and super affordable.
This one in particular is great for your skin and hair.

This one helps reduces the looks of spots and hyperpigmentation.

This one helps with improving dullness in your skin. This product was actually chosen in Allure's Best Of Beauty 2019.
This is an oldie but a goodie. One of my favourite facial creams ever! My boyfriend also loves this one too :)
(Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream- $22.50- $65)

I hope you guys enjoyed and hopefully something caught your eye! Stay safe and take care

Shrimp Pasta

Hello everyone! I really hope everyone is doing well. I know things are still a bit weird with what's going on, so I wanted to try to get your minds off of it even if it for a little while. It's a weird time that we are living in, but hopefully things will pass and get better.

On New Years my cousin came over and made this for us, which intrigued me at plain sight (I'm a sucker for seafood). Once I tried it, I instantly loved it and wanted the recipe. This was really easy to make and you just need a few ingredients. I wanted to share it with you guys just in case you guys wanted to give it a try, since we are all still in quarantine and might be getting a little bored with our menus. Set up a cozy table in you balcony or backyard, add some candles and a good glass of wine and trust me you won't miss eating out with this easy recipe.

Serve on top of pasta or rice.

Ingredients:

- fresh shrimp (depending on how many people)
-pint of cherry tomatoes
-chilli flakes (depending on how spicy you'd like)
-salt and pepper
-oil

First, you are going to wash your shrimp thoroughly and get them all cleaned up.

Next, you are going to cut off anything you don't think you are going to eat. I personally don't like the little legs or head (gross! did I just say that?! LOL). I find that it helps when you have an extra bowl on the side, so then you are cutting the shrimp you have a place to put anything your not going to cook.

If you have a wok that would be great to use.

Add oil to your pan/wok and let it heat up first before adding your shrimp. Once you feel like it's hot enough add your shrimp and season it with a little bit of salt and chilli flakes (if you want to add pepper you can-I just didn't have any). While that is cooking start cutting up your cherry tomatoes.

In another small frying pan add oil and your cherry tomatoes. Season it with salt.

Cook shrimp and saute the cherry tomatoes.

You can serve it with rice or pasta (I personally prefer pasta). That's it! Super easy and affordable. Hope you guys like it and enjoy a nice meal "out"!

Hope you guys enjoy!

Current Amazon Faves & Finds!

Hi loves! Hope you are all doing great! So I'm back with another Amazon Finds post sharing some of the new things I have recently purchased. Since being on quarantine I have found myself purchasing a lot more things online then I used to and to be honest I don't mind at all. I hope you guys enjoy the post and find something you guys would like to try out.

1. MudBuster ($24.99)

This thing has changed my life! I take my dog out everyday for 2-3 walks a day and usually it's a 2 hours walk. He runs around like crazy, gets into mud and dirt and is always coming back home with dirty paws. Before it was so hard cleaning his paws since he's such a big dog (German Shepherd/Lab mix) but now it's so much easier to clean them. Total life changer!

2. Schick Silk Face Razor ($5.99)

I have been removing the peach fuzz from my face for a couple of years now, and I have always used this particular product. This is definitely a product that I highly recommend and trust.

3. Along-Fit High Waisted Leggings ($28.99)

Okay! Let me just saw that I have purchased a million leggings (yes! I practically live in leggings) and wow! Was I surprised when I received these. My boyfriend actually got me these leggings after he saw me eyeing them for awhile. I was iffy about it at first because when I buy clothes I actually like touching the fabric and seeing first hand the quality of the clothing. But when they arrived was I surprised, the quality of these leggings actually feel nicer then other expensive leggings that I own and they are a fraction of the price. I would 100% recommend these! So much that I ordered a couple more pairs in different colours!

4. iPhone Case- Pink ($10.99)

Both of these iPhone cases are so cute! and really good quality.

iPhone Case- Neon Orange ($9.99)

  5. Malouf Bed Glides ($23.99)

I recently purchased a new headboard from Pottery Barn and purchasing these helped my give my bed the height that I needed in order to attach the screws to the bed frame.

6. Foot Spa Massager ($74.99)

This foot massager is life changing! I have it used a couple of times but I think that my mom has enjoyed this even more since she always using it! She loves it! haha and I can't blame her.

7. Rubbermaid Storage ($39.99)

I have never been a fan of tupperware, I feel like whatever I put in them stain the containers and they eventually start to smell throughout time but these ones don't stain nor do they smell so that's awesome.

8. Make-up Sponge ($13.99)

I love applying my make-up with a beauty sponge. I think it's a great tool to help apply your make-up beautifully, but it can get expensive. I always wash my beauty sponge to help eliminate the germs from it but I also like to replace them every now and then. This is a great dupe if your looking for one!

9. Beautural Lint Remover ($17.99)

This little thing will change your life! If you hate the lint that your clothing forms throughout the time after a few washes, then you'll love this guy! Once I use it on my clothes, it leaves them looking brand new! It's amazing! I have even used it on bed sheets which is amazing.

10. Sponge Storage ($2.74)

This is great way to store your beauty sponge and help prevent germs getting on it. Besides it's super cute! and comes in 3 different colours.

11. Multifunctional Clothes Hanger ($11)

I recently purchased these for my sister. She has 3 little girls so that means a whole bunch of clothes! So to help her store the girls clothes and not over crowd their closets and I thought this would be a great way to help her out.

12. Tie Dye Kit ($55.49)

I decided to get on the tie dye bandwagon! I've seen so many people get these and make cute shirts, shorts and socks. I thought it would be a cute idea to do these with my nieces. Besides these remind my of when I was a little kid.

What's Been Going On- COVID-19

Hello everyone! I hope you are all doing well and are safe. It's no surprise what is happening around the world- which is really scary, and we can all agree that it's very sad and unfortunate. I was hesitate to write a post, simply because I just didn't know what to say, or where to start, or even how to address this matter but I did want to pop on here to show my support to anyone who needs it. To be honest I hate watching the news just because it scares me to see how the number of people affected have escalated rapidly all over the world.

I myself, have stayed home trying to keep busy, finishing stuff that I have had on my list for awhile. I thought this was the perfect time to complete all those little task I've been wanting to do. I make a list everyday of something that could be done around the house just to keep my mind off what's going on outside. I've read articles of some people getting interviewed say this is "just a flu". This is not "just a flu", this is a virus that is killing thousands of people every single day all over the world, that is why we are told by authorities to stay home. There are so many things we can do while being home like, work out, binge watch a show we've been wanting to see but just haven't had the time to, read a book or even try out new recipes. I know everyone is scared not knowing what's going to happen next, all we can really do is wait and stay calm and try to stay home as much as we can to reduce the amount of people being infected.

Unfortunately this is a big wake up call, we are all so caught up in work and life that we don't really stop to see how fragile life truly is. Take the time to be more nice to one another. We should all be more cautious of others around us especially the elderly, don't bulk buy as there are others who are trying to get through this tough time as well. Wash your hands and if you have to go out to the grocery store remember to wear gloves and mask to prevent this virus from spreading, and dispose of those things responsibly.

We are all in this together- no matter where you are from. Remember be kind, stay home if you can and stay safe,

Much love,

Stephannie

How To: Chocolate Loaf

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is well. As I mentioned in my last few post, I was in South America for a few months, and while I was there I learned this new recipe. Around May it gets really cold in Chile and Argentina so people here really rely on their evening tea. With that said, you can't have tea and not have something sweet to eat on the side (impossible lol). The reason why I was so excited about this recipe is because all I needed to use was my blender! And the best part is, it literally takes less than 5 minutes to make. Isn't that great? Quick and easy for those of us who are in a rush and want to make something super fast. I've seen quite of few versions of this sweet treat where you can add nuts into the mixture or even once cool add a layer of dulce de leche or some sort of jam on top. I really enjoyed this version as I also saw a really known chef Alvaro Barientos do the same recipe.

I have a really big sweet tooth and I never turn down chocolate. Period. haha. If you know me you, know that chocolate is one of my biggest weakness, so naturally when I was taught this recipe I was all ears. I know that I've shared quite a bit of food recipes on my blog and I really hope you guys are enjoying it.

Ingredients:

[Preheat oven 160 degree]
3 eggs
260 grs of sugar
180 grs of flour
120 grs of oil
20 fr of vanilla extract
160 grs of milk
pinch of salt
70 grs of cocoa powder
100 grs of hot water
 55 minutes in the oven
[cool over night in a cool place]

In a blender add your eggs and blend for 2 minutes.

Once your eggs are blended together add your sugar and blend for 1 minute and 30 seconds.

Slowly add your flour to the mixture.

Slowly pour in your oil.

Once you see that everything is blending perfectly together, add your salt and vanilla extract and milk.

Mix! Mix! Mix!

Once everything is mixed together, pour mixture into a cake pan.

Leave in oven for 45 minutes. Once ready leave aside for it to chill in a cool place overnight.

I hope your guys enjoy this Chocolate Loaf! It is truly delicious!

Life Update//What I've Been Up To

Hello everyone!

I know it's been a little while since my last post but I just wanted to update you on what I've been up to. So I recently just got back from my trip in South America which for those who weren't familiar, I was away in Chile and Argentina for 5 months. As you guys know my boyfriend's family lives there there so we travelled to visit them for a bit. Now that I'm back I'm trying to organize myself and the things I have to lined up to do. While I was away I was contacted by this amazing company called Capitola, which specializes in the most beautiful watches I have ever seen. I recently just received my own watch that was sent to me and wow! I'm in love! I will be posting a blog post about that in a couple of days but I'm completely obsessed and I know you guys will be too. I also have some other blog post that I have been working on and will be sharing it with you guys very soon.
I feel like it's always great getting away every now and then to refresh your ideas, thoughts and getting inspired by new things. I've hit my reset botton and now I'm coming to you guys with loads of new content which I really hope you guys will enjoy.

This was my office area most of the time- I miss it (best view ever!).

New post will be up soon,

xoxo,
