3 DIY Face Masks

Hello everyone! Hope you all are doing fantastic. As promised I wanted to share a couple of my DYI masks that I make at home. I love trying out new things especially if it's in the comfort of my own home. Like I mentioned before in my previous post, masks are one of favourite things that I like doing regarding my skin care so I thought it would be a fun idea to share some of the masks that I've done before.

Egg Mask

First off is the "egg mask". Seriously guys, all your going to need for this one is an egg and 2 bowls.. yup, I know your probably thinking- "what the heck is this girl talking about?" I swear that's all you'll need. Basically your going to separate the egg white into one bowl and the egg yolk into the other. Make sure you have a clean face before applying. Whip both egg white and yolk with a fork. Start applying the egg yolk first, all over your face. Leave on for a good 5 minutes. Once this is done, rinse with warm water and then apply the egg whites on your face. Leave on for 5 minutes or until you feel like your skin is tightening and you look like an old lady lol. Wash face with warm water, pat dry and add your preferred facial cream to finish.

Eggs are great for deep cleansing treatments. Since eggs are a source of protein, it actually helps firm your skin once you apply it as a mask. It also helps shrink and tighten your pores. I like to do this regularly because it helps avoid accumulating dirt on my face.

Avocado Mask

The next one includes avocado. Some of you probably have already tried this one at home and don't we agree this one is awesome? There a lot of DIY masks that you can do at home with avacados. Avocado oils helps hydrate your skin and also help reduce dark circles under your eyes. Avocado oils are often a main ingredient in lotions, gels, bath oils and masks. It has also been proven that an avocado mask is the best type of mask for people with acne-prone skin.

Your going to mash 1 large avocado with a fork. Add in about a teaspoon of plain yogurt and a teaspoon of honey and mix together until you form the consistency of a paste. Apply on your face with a brush or your fingertips and leave it on for about 10-15 minutes. Rinse off with warm water and apply preferred facial cream to finish.

Coconut Oil Mask

Coconut is a natural antioxidant which helps soften your skin making it look healthy and hydrated.
It's the perfect kind of mask if you are looking to brighten up your skin. All you need is 2 teaspoon honey, juice of half a lemon and a tablespoon of coconut oil. Honey will help moisturize your skin and it also helps hydrate it.

The juice of a lemon helps kill the bacteria on your face, shrinking the pores and tightening your skin.
Mix all your ingredients into a bowl and apply to your face. Leave on for 10 minutes and then rinse off with warm water, pat dry and add preferred facial cream.

Hope you ladies give these mask a try. I know you guys will love them just as much as I do!

Sheet Masks!

Since I was a kid I've always been fascinated by those ladies in movies that have masks on with cucumbers on their faces- yes! and don't act like you didn't like it lol. I've done a few DYI masks at home which I will share with you guys on a post I've been working on, but when I don't have the time or really don't feel like making one I throw a sheet mask on, put some good old Netflix and chill on the couch. There are many different types of masks, which people typically use to give their skin the maximum amount of hydration and lock in moisture. These are fantastic to use all year round especially on those hot summer days or those brutal cold winter months. At this point in my life I consider them a total skincare staple! I love them so much that I make sure I stock up and have back-up all the time.

With the weather getting colder I like to really dedicate myself in protecting my skin as much as possible and that includes wearing little make-up or sometimes if I don't need to go out all fancy and just run to the store really quick, then no make-up at all. I'm very lucky to have been blessed with good skin but I also think it has to do with the dedication that I put in taking care of it. My 30's are right around the corner, and with that said, it is very important to me to do everything possible to take care of my skin. Sheet masks really help to hydrate your skin so it doesn't feel dry. I personally feel like it helps give my skin a healthier look and even a natural glow. There's no better feeling when your in the middle of a conversation and someone asks how old you are and can't believe your age. Yes! I'm that person that feels amazing for the rest of the day when someone tells me- "oh my God, you look 25!"... hahaha

If anyone knows of any good sheet masks that I can try, I'd love to hear your recommendations.

Some of the masks I brought on my recent trip.

One of my favourite masks ever! So refreshing.

Filters are always fun lol- all clean!

Amazon Finds

So I've always been a huge fan of Amazon. I remember when I first ordered something from the website-it was literally the first thing that I had ever bought online ( I know! I know!) but my sister and I were so excited! as if we were 6 year olds getting told ice cream was for dinner and we are headed to the toy store and can pick anything out. I know, a little dramatic but hey! I just want you guys to get the picture lol.
Anyways! I decided I wanted to get some acyclic makeup storage as at the time it was the "thing" to put your make-up in along with some others things.
First of all it took literally a day to get to our house and second of all oh my gosh were we excited!!!!! The fact that we got a hugh box with our name in front of our house we felt like we were oh so chic like all of these girls we'd seen on youtube hahaha!
The quality of the things that I received was unreal and for the price-let's just say I was a happy camper, so happy that I kept buying (oops!)

Eye Lash Container

I don't use fake eyelashes on the regular but for it's nice to use for a special occasion and this
adorable case helps me store them perfectly.

Velvet Clothing Hanger

I like to hang my clothes knowing they are not
going to fall off the hanger. Period- These hangers are life changers! Love them!

These oil Diffuser are great to have around the house. It makes everything smell fresh and clean- ALL the time!

iPhone Charger

You can never have too many phone chargers. I like to have them around the house so then I don't have to run upstairs and grab the one in my room, because I tend to misplace them later- typical. lol. I also like the fact that they are nice and long so I'm not glued to the wall while they are charging.

Peach Fuzz Razors

These are a game changer to remove any little peach fuzz that you may have on your face- this is the perfect little tool. Comes in a pack of 6.

Pyrex Glass Food Containers

I am THE number one person who always cooks extra and has left overs to store. I much rather have these cute glass ones than the plastic ones that lose their shapes once you put it in the microwave.

 Jade Roller

I've heard tons of things about these little guys and I can't wait to try it! Just ordered mine, so stick around for a review.

Hope you ladies enjoyed,

Natura Products

I was first introduced to Natura products back in 2012 and fell completely in love with them. For those of you that are not familiar with this brand, it's a Brazilian beauty company that offers a variety of products such as, skin care, hair products, fragrances and make-up. I'm completely obsessed with them, no joke!- it's that amazing! Let me just start by saying for those of you who are new to my blog, first of all welcome! lol and second of all, I'm a complete skin care junkie as everyone knows. You know that friend that tries out all the creams possible at a store that once you guys leave she smells like a bowl of sugar candy?- yup I'm that girl, but that's me everywhere even at home when I just bought a bag of new goodies lol. I love trying new products that will help my skin feel smooth and make it look as radiant and healthy as possible. So I'm constantly trying new things and this is one that I will forever love.

Make sure to check out their website to check out the products they offer.- www.naturabrasil.com
Disclaimer- packaging may be different since I buy mine when I'm in South America

All of the scents that they carry are completely amazing but, I have to say that my all time favourite scent is the "Acai" collection. The whole collection is fantastic especially the hand cream, which leaves my hands feeling moisture all day long. The smell is incredible and not too over powering which is perfect. This hand cream has a very nice consistency that don't leave your hand feeling sticky.

 Body Creams

I've never had any complaints when I try something new from this brand, everything smells fantastic  and once I apply it, my skin instantly feels smoother. I'm very particular when it comes to the lotions that I apply on my legs especially after shaving. The reason being is because I feel that scented creams sometimes make my legs get a rash after I apply it on right away. I didn't understand if it was the ingredients that was in a scented lotions that would cause this or it simply happened because I have really sensitive skin. But to be quite honest I haven't had that problem with these lotions at all! I use it all the time and guess what?- no rash! I'm seriously obsessed with these body lotions and they come in a variety of scents. The body lotions have light weight consistency that absorbs quickly into your skin. It's a product that has got some very good reviews and is highly recommended.

Skin Care I'm Currently Loving

Hello ladies! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Tuesday morning. As I have mentioned before on my blog, I'm a huge fan of skin care products. I love trying out new things that will help keep my skin looking flawless, young and healthy looking. I know I'm not the only one, but who doesn't love removing their make-up after a long day?- I know I do! There's something about washing your face and having that fresh clean feeling that is just amazing. I love everything that will help moisture my skin, and make it look healthier giving me that nice natural glow. Here are a few product that I'm currently loving, some are old favourites that I just had to add in and some are new things that I currently discovered. Hopefully you ladies will find this helpful if you are in the market to try something new.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

I don't know what to say, but I love it! This rose water facial spray makes my face feel hydrated and fresh. Before I put on my make-up I spray this all over my face and let it sit for a good few minutes. You can also spray this throughout the day to give your skin some hydration. I also love applying this after my nightly routine before I go to bed. It literally makes me feel like I came out of a spa treatment.

L'oreal Day and Night Cream

I tried this cream out when I was back in Canada just before I traveled and I loved it, and I was so disappointed when I realized I didn't pack it in my luggage. One day when I was out and passed by a local drug store and to my surprise I found it! I was a bit hesitant at first because I didn't know if it was going to be the exact same one. Luckily it was.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Cream

I absolutely love this facial cream! I have said it many times before. If you are in the market for a facial cream that will make your skin feel healthy giving you a nice glow-Stop looking!!!- this is it! I've used this facial cream for years and once you try it you'll know why. It also has SPF 15 which is always a bonus.

Sheet Masks

I love a good old mask. Whether it is a homemade mask or a sheet mask that I loved and had bought from a store. Every few days I like to put on a mask while I watch some netfliks (which by the way-is a perfect combo lol). I have tried many sheet masks and I can point out a few of my favourites, such as the ones sold at Sephora, and The Face Shop. Depending on my mood I would either use a hydrating sheet mask, or if it's late and I'm at home I would put on a full mud mask and walk around the house looking like a total zombie lol.

Kirkland Signature Daily Facial Cleaning Towelettes

When it comes to removing my makeup, I tend to be very picky on the wipes I use. The reason being is that my skin is very sensitive and I only like to use it on my face- I like to remove my eye makeup with something else, but I'll get to that later.
The best wipes I have found that works wonders are the ones sold at costco-yup I said costco!
I have tried other brands aswell but, I feel like I need to use more wipes than usual, but with these ones I only need one, which is amazing.

Neutrogena Purifying Facial Cleanser

You know when you go to the store to buy something and then come out with something totally different? Well that's what happened to me! lol. Like most people I'm a sucker for packaging and this caught my eye which made me want to try it- I'm so happy I did! The smell is very pleasant (which I obviously smelled at the store -opps!) but once I washed my face with it, it instantly gave me that fresh clean feeling which I love!

Josie Maran Argan Oil

I have always recommend removing eye makeup with an oil because the skin around your eyes are the most delicate on your whole face due to the fact that we have a very thin layer of skin in that area. It's very important to take good care of this area especially because it's the first places to show signs of aging.Whenever I use the Josie Maran Argan oil, it makes me feel like I'm not being too harsh on my skin- which is always a good thing. It's very gentle and best of all, it's a product that is multi-purpose.

The Body Shop- Born Lippy (Watermelon)

Once I'm done with my nightly skin care routine I like to put on a lip balm that will help me avoid having cracked lips. This one is perfect-it's not thick or sticky and leaves my lips feeling super smooth. It also smells like watermelon- which I can't complain about. This is also a nice lip balm to use during the day before heading out. Comes in 4 different flavours.

Hope you ladies enjoyed this post and found it helpful!

How To: Charquican (Beef Stew)

Hey guys! So I was in the middle of making dinner and said to myself, "why not share this?" Since I was very little my mom has always been the type of mother who loves to cook and incorporate a lot of vegetables in her dishes. I remember always being in the kitchen, pulling out a chair and sitting at the table and just watching her. Everything she made fascinated me, and how a few ingredients made such a delicious dinner. She carried herself with such elegance in the kitchen in how she cut, sliced and tossed her ingredients around, coming up with amazing home made dinners. Thanks to my mom I'm a young women who absolutely loves being in the kitchen cooking and baking and also really enjoy pushing myself into trying new things. I hope that one day I can share my love for food with my kids as my mom shared it with me. One of my favourite dishes that my mom used to make for us is a traditional Chilean dish called Charquican. There are many ways to make this dish but I like my mom's version as she gave it her own special touch. It's super quick and easy to make and is absolutely delicious. I really hope you guys try this out, because you are going to love it!

Ingredients:
1/2 Butternut Squash
2-3 large Potatoes
2 large Zucchinis
1 Carrot
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
1/2 cup of Green Beans (fresh or frozen)
2 Steaks
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
salt and cumin

Cut potatoes and zucchinis into medium size squares and carrots and squash into smaller size pieces.

Finely dice onions. If your green beans are too big then cut them in half.

Boil veggies until they are soft (approximately 20 minutes). Cook meat with onions adding oil, cumin and salt to taste. Once vegetables are ready rinse water leaving less than a 1/3 of a cup in the pot. Mash the vegetables together and add your cooked meat.

I recommend adding a fried egg on top. It will change your life!

Ta-daaaaa! Hope you ladies enjoyed this post!

Life Lately // Via the Camera Roll

HAPPY Friday everyone!!!! Today I wanted to share some random camera roll and show you guys what I have been currently up to. Like I mentioned before I've been enjoying some nice weather in South America-Chile and have discovering lots of beautiful places this country has to offer. I only have a few weeks left so I'm soaking every last bit of it.
Hope you guys enjoy!

Obsessing over how beautiful the architecture of this place is- can you believe it's a bank?!

Like wow!

Being that I'm on vacation and its superrrrr hot here, I don't see why I can't buy myself some cute sandals. Gotta look cute even at the beach, right? :)

Over the weekend we went to a place called Zapallar. It was so beautiful and calm I didn't want to leave! Lol

I could sit here forever... so peaceful

what a beautiful place.

I've always told my boyfriend how talented he is and that he should pick up drawing again. This Christmas I took it upon myself and got him a sketch book- I think he still got it.

Can't get over this gorgeous sunset!

Valentine's Day Gifts Your Man Will Love (Under $200)

Ok guys, Valentine's Day is just 4 days away!!! I feel like I was just getting ready for Christmas not to long ago. Is that weird? We are almost 2 months into 2018, how crazy is that?!
Anyways, I know that people get super hyped up about what to get for their man for Valentine's Day, as guy can sometimes be a little hard to shop for. Like I mentioned last year, I have always been the type of girl who would bake something along side as I think it gives it a special touch, which I'm going to do this year as well. I also prefer to stay in and have a homemade dinner, I find that it's more romantic and special as you both can cook together and enjoy each other company.

My guy is the type who is a nerd in disguise no joke, you would never take him for the type who likes video games and movies but he totally is. He loves playing PS4 and who am I kidding so do I, so when ever he wants to stay in and play, I'm not complaining. While he getting ready for game night I'm in the kitchen getting us something to eat like a sandwich or pancakes. Yes I said pancakes- which I think can be eaten at any time of the day not only at breakfast lol (we usually eat them at night). I've put together a few ideas that I think would be perfect and think your guys would really enjoy. Best part is, everything is under $200.

Hope you guys enjoyed,

xoxo
